With an entrepreneurial and collaborative approach, we design adaptive digital services and applications that capture the imagination, delivering impressive returns for our clients.Resource Management teams at AKQA manage resourcing for all potential and assigned projects by liaising with Department Heads, Project Management and Client Service teams as it relates to resourcing across all work. They work directly with Finance, Recruitment and HR and teams to facilitate appropriate staffing across the studio based on aggregate understanding of project requirements. Resource Managers effectively manage resources and communicate any upcoming resourcing issues that may impact scheduled deadlines to ensure timely delivery of projects, while enforcing studio process and procedures.Our San Francisco studio is uniquely diverse in its resident skillsets enabling employees to solve across the full spectrum of experience solutions. Ranging from strategy, creative and development through to programmatic media, integrated paid search, social marketing and predictive analytics.RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Department Heads, discipline leads, and project leads to identify appropriate resource requirements for each account and projectWork with discipline leads to support the identification and management of vendors, facilitating necessary discussions to meet project requirementsRecommend process improvements for Resource Management disciplineWork to resolve issues regarding under or over allocations of current staff membersRun weekly resource meetings and facilitate resourcing issues / conflict resolution with the Production Team and appropriate department heads, team leads and managersStay informed of potential issues such as project, resource and financial changes to projectsAlert department leads to any potential concerns or issues with meeting key client deliverables due to resourcing.Maintain constant knowledge of current and upcoming projects and business development activitiesIdentify potential underutilization and actively work with department leads to address and solve those issuesAssess freelance needs and work with appropriate leads to staff accordinglyDrive the freelance contracting process from budget approval to onboarding, including sourcing, and negotiating rates aligned with studio financial modelsParticipate in the analysis of studio staff trends to recommend, flag risks, identify appropriate talent moves, and manage overall resource rotationValidate scopes and forecasts in partnership with studio leadership, department heads, and project leadsAnalyze and prioritize freelance and staff hires against evolving business needs and skill requirements across all disciplines and client teamsGrow and maintain an active freelance talent pool across all studio disciplinesPartner with other AKQA teams in North America to share resources as neededTrack staff PTO requests, ensuring all teams have full and timely visibility into resource availability, and working to resolve coverage gapsQUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS
