General Duties:
Identify business opportunities in the US Navy market. Have relationships with US Navy and government decision makers, and the ability to understand and share Field Aerospace’s capabilities with these leaders.
Essential Job Functions:
Focus on the development of NAVAIR as a key account to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
Devise strategies for generating new and repeat business.
Coordinate sales campaigns.
Work with Marketing Manager to ensure linkage to the company’s strategic plan, to include coverage at critical tradeshows and conferences.
Develop, maintain, and execute the capture process.
Responsible for regular and detailed tracking of opportunities in the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Identify bid opportunities, develop presentations proposals, and track status of opportunities in support of major sales campaigns.
Research and work with internal departments and external vendors and OEMs to develop workable solutions to customers’ requirements.
Communicate bid strategies to the proposal team and to management by continually analyzing the competition, identifying risk, and formulating plans to develop and maintain competitive advantage.
Ensure consistent growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management.
Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales.
Represent company at industry shows and conferences.
If based near Pax River, position requires 20% travel.
If not based near Pax River, this position requires 50% travel with a focus on NAVAIR program offices, at the PAX river office.
Skills and Experiences:
Six (6) years of experience in Aerospace in the modification and upgrading of both fixed wing and rotary aircraft. (Required)
Ten (10) years of progressive experience in the Capture Management / Business Development / Project Management field in Aircraft Integration, Modification, Maintenance, Logistics and Sustainment with confirmed record of identifying and closing contracts. (Desired)
Proven programmatic experience, a solid understanding of the market and familiarity with key individuals in that market.
Demonstrated experience with and understanding of proposal development process, opportunity reviews, and pricing efforts.
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally.
Competencies:
Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written venues.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to deal effectively with confidential/sensitive issues.
