Chief Administrative Officer

Chatham Area Transit, serving beautiful historic Savannah, GA, seeks a customer-focused, innovative, strategic team player to serve as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).Reporting directly to the Executive Director/CEO, the CAO provides administrative control, guidance, direction and oversight:S/he will think/operate strategically, and will be responsible for Enterprise Risk Management, Procurement, H.R., including recruitment, retention, succession planning, compensation, benefits, training, D&I, EEO, DBE, Labor Relations support, IT, Safety, Security & Risk Management, Civil Rights.S/he will maintain liaison with union leadership and assist in Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations, compliance, and grievance resolution.Works with the Leadership Team to enhance the CAT’s reputation for excellence through best practices and key performance indicators.Assists CFO in developing operating and capital budgets.Leads compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, and serves as primary contact with outside counsel.Desired QualificationsMaster’s degree in business administration, Public Administration, or a related field with at least (7)+ years of progressively increased experience in managing resources and staff.Proven success in organizational transformation resulting in improved efficiency, effectiveness, and enhanced brand value is a plus.Experience in transportation/transit or public sector organization, with personnel management, labor relations, and organizational transformation/performance management experience.Customer-focused, innovative, strategic team player.
