SENIOR DIRECTOR, HOSPICE OPERATIONS - RN / Miami Lakes FLFULL TIME - MON-FRI 8AM TO 5PMSummary & ObjectiveSenior Director of Business Operations will be a management team leader with responsibility for managing the day-to-day business and performance of the Hospice programs back-office operations. The position will assure efficient and effective support of the clinical documentation related to quality and compliance outcomes, oversight of compliance and quality programs of the Hospice program through proper administration of the vendor relationship, contracting, evaluating relationship effectiveness, information technology, physician group, and other areas.Essential FunctionsDirects the day-to-day functions of the administrative business operating units.Design and implement robust operational processes that reduce waste and drive optimal patient satisfaction.Maintain all federal and state change requests and requirements.Refine and manage expansion of Palliative Care Program operating model.Other DutiesCollaborates with Stakeholders and Leadership Team regarding organizational structure design.Create short-term and long-term strategic plan for growing and scaling the business.Hire and develop a high-performance team and optimize the allocation of resources.Create department policies and procedures that drive optimal team performance.Communicates with Executive Director to assess inefficiencies, implement new protocols, and develop concepts for program growth.Create a high-energy, team-oriented culture where everyone is aligned on the mission and committed to driving results.Provides senior leadership over all business office functions including managing and mentoring staff within specific department settings.Promotes positive employee engagement, teamwork, mutual respect and safety work practices.Responsible for on-call emergencies, including weekends and holidays.Maintain required mandatory skill updates.Comply with all policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations.Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilityMay serve as an interim department leader depending on need.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stairs or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods of time, etc.DisclaimerThe job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
