Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc.
(CCDOV) provides services to people of all races, backgrounds, and beliefs. Catholic Charities offers a variety of housing and social service programs to individuals, families, and communities across ten counties in Southwest Florida. The Chief Operating Officer supports the Catholic Charities vision and strategy providing timely data, reporting, and recommendations to align operations and resources to achieve CCDOV's mission.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice providing strategic, organizational, and administrative leadership.
Collaborate with the CEO and the board of directors to develop and update the organization's strategic plan, aligning operational activities with the overall mission and vision.
Work closely with Director of Program Development and Director of Grants to ensure programs are developed and delivered effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with the organization's mission.
Liaise with Diocesan Human Resources, Information Technology, and Building/Facilities to address CCDOV staffing, technology, and facility needs.
Support regions to conduct ongoing program assessments to ensure goals and objectives are met, timely utilization of grant funding, and compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.
Develop and update policies pertaining to internal communications, and reduce overall risk.
Assist in the development and management of CCDOV budget, financial systems, and controls.
Support all disaster-related activities facilitating communications, logistics, and equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Master's degree in public administration, business administration, legal studies, political science, social work, or relevant degree required. Consideration may be given for experience in lieu of master's degree.
At least 5 years COO or senior level experience leading and managing nonprofit organizations.
Expert knowledge of non-profit budgeting, fund development, and program development.
Able to prepare and present complex financial and programmatic information.
A firm grasp of Federal, State, and local funding streams, restrictions, and how to integrate new funding and programming to maximize grant utilization while complying with funding regulations.
Other Requirements:
Must be a practicing Catholic.
Must have a valid Florida Driver's license, and be willing to travel (using personal vehicle) within the Diocese of Venice. Not negotiable.
High level mastery of Microsoft Office Suite.
Must possess strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
