We are the FinOps and Data Governance team, dedicated to enabling data-driven decision-making by ensuring accurate, actionable, and accessible data. Collaborating with stakeholders and data stewards across the organization, our goal is to deliver the data and insights needed to meet strategic business objectives.Our FinOps focus is centered on managing and optimizing cloud financial operations with strong emphasis on cloud cost allocation, resource optimization, and financial forecasting. We monitor, allocate, and optimize cloud costs, analyze cost data, and publish key performance indicators (KPIs) to spotlight actionable cost-saving opportunities. Our team collaborates extensively with cloud providers, finance departments, divisional stakeholders, and IT teams, driving the design, implementation, and support of the FinOps Data Lakehouse and reporting infrastructure.Responsibilities and Impact:We are seeking a FinOps Director of Cloud Operations to manage a team, overseeing the monthly cloud cost allocation process, and driving continuous process improvements. This role requires a combination of cloud financial expertise, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure financial accountability and efficiency across the organization.Key Responsibilities:Lead a FinOps Team: Manage a team responsible for cloud cost allocation, ensuring timely and accurate processing while driving improvements to current workflows.Cloud Cost Allocation: Oversee the monthly cloud cost allocation process, ensuring accurate and fair distribution of cloud costs across business units and departments.Financial Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies between Accounts Payable and Cloud Vendor Accounts Receivable.Invoice Management: Oversee invoice classification and quality assurance checks, providing approvals of cloud invoices.Automation Collaboration: Partner with Architecture and Automation teams to define, test, and implement automation requirements.Cloud Financial Reporting: Lead the publication of Cloud Governance KPIs.Forecasting & Strategic Support: Support cloud financial forecasting efforts, including volumetric analysis and identifying long-term cost trends.Supplier Performance Management: Collaborate on business reviews to track supplier performance and identify areas for cost optimization.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Finance teams to streamline cloud cost management processes.Documentation & Anomaly Tracking: Maintain documentation of notable cost-related events and anomalies.What We’re Looking For:Basic Required Qualifications:Cloud Financial Management Experience: Demonstrated experience managing cloud costs.Expertise in Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure billing consoles.Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends.Leadership and Collaboration Skills: Experience managing teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail combined with strategic understanding.Additional Preferred Qualifications:Experience with FinOps Tools: Familiarity with cloud cost management tools.Automation & Data Tools: Hands-on experience with data analysis and automation tools.Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications would be a plus.Right to Work Requirements:
