This role of Managing Director works at the intersection of divisions in a highly collaborative way to identify opportunities, distill the biggest drivers of value ($, NPS, other) and create plans that enable our teams to capture value envisioned. These cross divisional opportunities sometimes have a digital or data enablement component.Shape and lead significant cross-functional strategic initiatives at the intersection of airline commercial, operations and digital / AI focused teams.Define the opportunity and value; Isolate the core of the value and / or key drivers.Shape plans / priorities to deliver; Distill clear executive and board level communication to enable alignment and support.Drive / deliver early implementation while capabilities are being built.Engage across Delta to see the full opportunity and drive shared solutions critical to success.Act as a critical culture keeper and talent developer across strategy and the broader organization.Build relationships with leaders that support progress and results.Communicate clearly and concisely for a senior executive audience, both verbally and through document preparation.Have strong natural curiosity that constantly seeks internal and external knowledge and understanding.Create high-performing teams across direct reports, other strategy team members, and groups with whom you collaborate.What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)Highly respected problem solving at the Managing Director level, with a strong bias to analytics.An ability to create and drive new opportunities, coupled with a very pragmatic approach to implementation and interim milestones.An ability to synthesize complex issues for rapid consumption coupled with strong executive presence.A highly collaborative working style as demonstrated by an ability to navigate effectively across divisions at Delta.An inclusive and engaging leadership style that creates shared success.Understanding of the complex, operationally driven industries and/or passion for airline operations.Stellar record of people leadership, talent development, and reputation as a culture carrier.Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or related field or 10 years of relevant experience.15+ years of demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic planning or larger scale / cross functional program management.Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)MBA preferredAirline experience preferredExperienced in driving value through Digital / Data in highly operational context.Benefits and Perks to Help You Keep ClimbingOur culture is rooted in a shared dedication to living our values - Care, Integrity, Resilience, Servant Leadership, and Teamwork - every day, in everything we do.
