Mid Program and Budget Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia
Tuvli, an Akima company, is hiring for a Mid Program and Budget Analyst to support our DoS client located in Washington, DC. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!ResponsibilitiesSupport budget coordination, process management, financial analysis and management, and data visualizations.Maintain and update budget systems and databases; support data entry and analysis to resolve anomalies and discrepancies in budgetary data.Support system troubleshooting tickets, requests for data visualizations, congressional notifications, Fmemos, and change notices.Track and work with spreadsheets/databases by entering fiscal budgets in the appropriate database/spreadsheet.Assist with budget tasks such as tracking funding requests, planning, and ensuring programs meet legislative and policy goals.Attend budgeting and planning meetings and communicate with US posts and interagency partners.Assist in creating templates for country-specific foreign assistance budgets; ensure due dates are met.Coordinate ACE and post submissions to the Office of Management and Budget; track operation plan (OP) approvals.Maintain copies of approved OPs on the shared computer drive.Run reports from budget systems and prepare charts for meetings and inquiries.Coordinate inter-agency budget processes between U.S. government agencies receiving foreign assistance funding.Maintain budget information systems and records, correcting and updating data as necessary.Analyze and resolve budgetary data discrepancies.Assist with data analysis, including entering and validating data.Track U.S. foreign assistance funds and ensure alignment with U.S. policies.Assist the budget team with presentations analyzing foreign assistance needs, trends, opportunities, and overages.Develop, implement, and maintain analytics systems to simplify complex problems.Identify patterns and trends in data sets and collaborate with other divisions/teams to establish needs.Provide administrative support and troubleshooting for Salesforce and other cloud-based systems.Monitor and respond to emails directed to shared mailboxes; log and track tasks to completion.Provide guidance on applicable programming in support of global key issues and directives.Support EUR and SCA bureaus on attribution and tracking of global Earmarks, Key Issues, and Directives.Prepare briefing checklists, letters, reports, agendas, and responses to interagency inquiries.Design databases or data collection tools and assist in creating/reviewing research reports and presentations.Edit program documents and maintain core documents related to the program.May travel one to two times a year.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or more than five (5) years’ experience in international affairs/foreign policy, business management, accounting, or related fields.Over three (3) years’ experience in international affairs/foreign policy, financial management, accounting, or related fields.At least three (3) years of experience in budgeting and international affairs/foreign policy.At least two (2) years’ experience with Tableau or Power BI for dashboards and visualization.Experience with data/financial management projects within the Department of State or U.S. Agency for International Development.Experience with R and Python for data analysis and working with large datasets.Four (4) or more years of work experience in administrative and/or budget-related tasks.Advanced skills in SharePoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications, including Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).Ability to solve problems and encourage consistent reporting.Experience coordinating and tracking documents.Strong English language (written and spoken) communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities in multiple locations.Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.Pay Range142,746.88 - 147,746.88Regular - The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and a range of other voluntary benefits.
