ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Senior Customs Analyst could expect to work on engagements such as the following:
Work with the Advisory team to develop/implement systems and draft process improvements to duty drawback/reconciliation programs to prepare claims, expedite claim filing.
Prepare and review internal data/reporting utilized for duty drawback and entry reconciliation.
Prepare and submit applications, waivers, entries and rulings for duty drawback.
Determine entry reporting requirements under the jurisdiction of Participating Government Agencies (PGA).
Determine if goods are subject to ADD/CVD.
Compose and submit binding ruling requests to CBP and possibly, scope ruling requests to U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC).
Analyze China 301 Tariff ACE data, broker reporting, import packets, and internal data/reporting to support customer and supplier duty drawback programs.
Determine whether clients’ imported goods are eligible and qualify for preferential duty benefits under free trade agreements and special trade programs, such as tariff change rules or regional value content.
Perform Bill of Material Analysis for products to determine free trade agreement eligibility.
Perform analysis of ITRAC data for clients and present findings.
Consult clients either transitionally or as part of projects on a variety of import and international trade matters, for example: country of origin marking, foreign import requirements, valuation, duty recovery opportunities, CTPAT, focused assessments, etc.
Utilize all available resources to render tariff classifications under the HTS for Crane’s clients.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to perform research and make determinations in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
Perform critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing client expectations.
Sense of urgency and attention to detail are critical.
Perform data entry and draft opinion papers.
Maintain an organized work environment.
Strong and effective communication of import/export trade requirements to clients.
Clock hours in time management software for consulting engagements.
Achieve a monthly utilization rate of 80%.
Provide support to consulting team members.
Keep informed of latest news and developments impacting trade and regulatory compliance.
Experienced in using MS Word, Excel, MS Access, MS Excel Pivot Table, or SQL.
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Strong proficiency in classifying goods under the HTS.
HTS classification strength with the oil and gas industry desirable.
Understanding of Title 19 Code of Federal Regulations.
Capable of typing 50 to 80 words per minute.
Be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 4 years of experience in Customs Brokerage or Regulatory Compliance fields.
Duty Drawback experience required.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Licensed customs broker or CCS preferred.
CUSECO preferred.
