From supply chain management solutions to expert consultative services, Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions provides a highly comprehensive, universal solution for hospital pharmacies.This position serves as one of Cardinal Health’s Lead 340B Consultants within our Innovative Delivery Solutions (IDS) business. The Lead 340B Consultant role is essential to achieve financials and meet contractual obligations to current and near-term clients, as well as having 340B expertise to drive success for Managed Services onsite staff.This is an individual contributor role that reports to the Sr. Director of Clinical Operations. Candidates can live anywhere in the United States but must live near a major airport for travel purposes.Responsibilities:Using expert-level knowledge of 340B requirements and best practices to design, lead and execute client-facing 340B consulting projects.Projects include, but are not limited to, 340B Compliance Assessments (“mock audits”), covered entity and/or contract pharmacy implementations, savings potential analysis, 340B software optimization, policy and procedure development, and corrective action plan support.Collaborate with and/or indirectly supervise other Cardinal Health 340B resources.Provide direction to more junior team members.Serve as a primary resource providing 340B guidance to Cardinal Health’s Managed Services staff at pharmacies participating in the 340B program.Support 340B covered entities as they navigate HRSA 340B audits, which may require travel to the client location.Support the sales process by interacting with prospective clients to affirm Cardinal Health’s expertise in the 340B space.Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients.Attend select trade shows and speaking events.Provide input on new service and/or technology offerings in the 340B space.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.Apexus 340B University Certification or Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate is highly preferred.Broad experience in 340B program, specifically in a 340B consulting capacity and/or in a management-level role at a 340B-participating hospital, health system, or IDN.Experience at a Section 330 grantee or designee, a retail pharmacy chain or specialty pharmacy with a large and well-established 340B contract pharmacy program and/or a 340B technology company will also be considered.Experience and demonstrated knowledge of the HRSA 340B audit process, either in support of clients or as a 340B covered entity employee.Experience with optimization of 340B savings potential.Comprehensive understanding of 340B eligibility requirements for hospitals and grantee/designee entities.Experience supporting clients or in a client-facing role.Strong working knowledge of the intersection of 340B and Medicaid.A current and robust knowledge of regulatory, legislative, and market factors impacting 340B is preferred.Familiarity with a range of 340B software systems is a plus.Ability to provide direction to more junior team members.Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent initiatives.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent planning, forecasting, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills required.Ability to travel 50% or more as needed & must live near a major airport.What is expected of you and others at this level:Utilizes broad and deep knowledge to develop innovative new business practices, policies, and procedures.Contributes to the development of department strategy.Works on or may lead highly complex projects of large scope.Projects are typically cross-functional and have significant and long-term impact.Provides solutions which set precedent.Negotiates complex or risky technical business issues on behalf of the company.Independently defines project, establishes budgets, identifies participants, and mitigates risk.Consults with management to determine project objectives with long-term implications.Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.Anticipated salary range:
