who is interested in participating on a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of ERM’s services, to join our consulting firm in the
San Francisco Bay Area . In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers on site investigation and remediation, environmental compliance, and due diligence transaction projects. Access to ERM's national experts provides knowledge sharing of best practices across the industry and ongoing learning opportunities for our team, while building the required experience to obtain your professional registration.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide technical assistance on site investigation, remediation, EHS compliance, and due diligence transaction projects.Prepare civil engineering designs and calculations – excavation, grading, paving, capping, landfill etc.Conduct field work, construction oversight, field surveying, remedial program sampling, quality control, and operation and maintenance.Assist in project activity planning, and health and safety planning and oversight.Prepare environmental compliance plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, storm water, and wastewater programs.Compile and evaluate data and prepare reports.Perform Phase I and II environmental site assessments to support property transfer transactions.Provide general environmental compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance, as needed.Provide topical research, perform environmental compliance assessments, and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.Support multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.Communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities.Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage projects.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree (BS) in engineering (environmental, civil, chemical, mechanical, or related field).2+ years of relevant environmental experience including environmental field work.Ability to conduct field work assignments.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good written/verbal communication.Effective organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.Strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension.Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.Ability to succeed in a consulting pace, handling multiple project assignments, and maintaining flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines.PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:Master’s degree preferred.EIT/PE certification.Local candidates preferred.For the
Consultant, Engineering
position, we anticipate the annual base pay of
$67,200 – $89,986 USD.
An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above.
