We are seeking a Preschool Director to manage and oversee all the daily operations, curriculum, safety, and staffing needs of our family owned Montessori Preschool. Our school
follows guidelines from the philosophy of Maria Montessori and is an affiliate of the American Montessori Society (AMS). The school offers a full time Bilingual Program where children are taught to communicate in both English and Spanish through various mediums and activities.
Responsibilities:
Manage all day to day preschool operations.
Recruit, supervise, train, and support teaching staff.
Create, develop and oversee educational programs that align with state and national standards as well as adhere to the philosophy of Montessori and the AMS
Manage enrollment and admissions in conjunction with support staff and/or Assistant Director.
Maintain organized student and staff records
Collaborate with parents and families to create a supportive preschool community, and provide educational opportunities for parents in regards to child development, Positive Discipline and The Montessori philosophy
Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Training and certification in Montessori education
Completion of ECE credits (12)
Experience working in early childhood education and/or previous supervisory experience
Knowledge of state and national early childhood education standards and regulations
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to develop and implement innovative educational programs
Proficiency with computer programs and tools such as Microsoft Office, laptops, tablets, and Payroll programs
Spanish language skills/ Bilingual very helpful
CPR/First Aid/AED certification/ will provide training if needed
Working Conditions:
This position is full-time. It includes some nights and weekends for special events. Our school is open from 7:30am-5:30 pm. This position is for an 8 hr shift.
May involve periods of standing or sitting, kneeling, lifting small children as well as other physical activity with children
Requires regular interaction with children, parents and staff in a busy and active environment
Possibility of exposure to illnesses and germs
Salary and benefits
Competitive Salary range 90,000-120,000 per year DOE
Medical/Dental insurance ( paid 100% by employer)
401K matching up to 3%
PTO, Paid Holidays.
We will pay for professional development activities as well.
