MSC Cruises, the world’s third-largest cruise line brand, is hiring a Director of Strategic Accounts. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, this is a remote position with travel. This opportunity will suit a highly numerate and data-driven travel industry professional with a background in managing large accounts.
Responsibilities:Responsible for the growth, development, and revenue performance of the Strategic Account portfolio for MSC Cruises USA.Communicate regularly with accounts to drive revenue and ensure commercial objectives are achieved.Effectively manage coop marketing funds to ensure budget is optimally utilized while staying within budget.Implement effective marketing initiatives and measure ROI to maximize revenue-generating opportunities and achieve goals.Analyze data and results delivered by Sales Analyst and Revenue Management to maximize revenue growth.Provide accounts with monthly revenue reports followed up by monthly meetings to identify opportunities, monitor sales performance, and ensure accounts are on track to achieve goals.Participate in contract negotiations and ensure implementation and compliance as required.Coordinate with cross-departments to execute various sales initiatives as needed.Present MSC value proposition via webinars, trainings, and speaking engagements.Participate in various national, regional, and account conferences and meetings as required. Support sales organization as needed via Seminars at Sea, ship tours, etc.Communicate with field sales team to educate and reinforce execution of account initiatives.Execute ad hoc projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements:At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the travel sector or in account management.Must be able to travel 30-60% of the time depending on the season.Supplier relations experience with large accounts highly preferred.Strong understanding of all trade business models (OTA/Consortia and HOST).Self-motivated, organized, and capable of meeting quick deadlines.Proven track record of achieving sales goals.Data-driven and capable of analyzing and effectively communicating results.Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software.Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Ability to interact with all levels of staff.Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to tactfully deal with internal and external contacts.Must possess a positive, team-player attitude.
