Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
The Facilities Management department maintains a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and employees at Hawai‘i Pacific Health facilities. It provides our hospital and clinics with regular maintenance of physical buildings, routine safety inspections and minor repairs to ensure that our infrastructure operates at its best. Staff perform skilled work in the repair, replacement and refinishing of equipment and systems such as electrical services, HVAC services, plumbing services, power plant operation and general maintenance of buildings and grounds with the goal of providing an aesthetically pleasant, functional and safe operating environment.
As the Facilities Management Manager, you will help to ensure consistent quality performance in the areas of engineering and maintenance at Hawai‘i Pacific Health hospitals and clinics. Your responsibilities will include planning, organizing and delegating work assignments for maintenance personnel; evaluating the physical plant for performance standards; maintaining effective quality/reliability controls; recommending corrective action when necessary; and ensuring completion of all projects in compliance with all applicable City, State, Federal codes, as well as The Joint Commission guidelines. We are looking for someone with strong organizational and managerial skills, attention to operational and procedural integrity, and a commitment to our vision of delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Associate’s degree in Engineering or equivalent trade school in maintenance related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Three (3) years supervisory experience in general maintenance or physical plant operations. Preferred Qualifications:
