The successful candidate will effectively develop and maintain the relationships between RA, Executive Education clients and their guests, and HBS Operations. Manage oversight of the Chao Center and Executive Education buildings, all catering services and events with a managed volume of over $16 million. Confer with customers and team members in all phases of their program to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Maintain excellent relationships with the client and their guests as well as other departments within RA and Operations. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Work closely with the HBS Department of Operations and Executive Education for successful execution of events. Supervision and Development of Catering management team along with Director of Catering. Oversight of Catering Hourly Associates including Training, Staffing and Human Resources. Annual review of Operating Procedures. Work with designated Marketing Manager and regional Marketing Manager to develop a marketing plan, delegate responsibilities and ensure execution of monthly specials, newsletters, and social media. Track progress. Meet with the Marketing Manager biweekly for assistance with all marketing projects. Evaluate Executive Education program survey results and develop a plan for improvement. Schedule and execute focus groups with long programs. Achieve client KPI for results. Meet with Controller’s team weekly to review AR and Billing. Delegate to team on follow up. Meet with Controller’s team weekly to review labor forecast. Delegate to team and follow up. Attend the following meetings weekly: Daily Sheets Meeting, Regional Director’s Weekly Department Head Meeting, Manager’s meeting, Executive Education Weekly Operations Meeting, Executive Education Space Meeting, Finance Sales and Labor Meeting, Catering Events Meeting, Catering Managers Meetings. Review Catering Software biannually to review processes and look for opportunities. Complete annual review of the catering menus and pricing structure. Review and revise menus with the chefs based on feedback and popularity from the program teams and participant feedback. Complete biweekly management schedules with the Director of Catering and Senior Catering Manager for Campus Catering. Complete monthly PDP (Performance Development Plans) with Director of Catering and monitor. Supervise completion of P&Ls on events over $5000 for review with controller and Director of Catering. Work with Operations Manager for Beverage and Catering Director for Executive Education to keep beverage inventory tight and costs in line. Biannual trips for florist, linens and rentals. Perform related duties and special projects as assigned. Oversee the hiring, training and scheduling of catering associates and is actively involved in service techniques, menu presentation, policies and procedures. Work with the administrative staff to ensure that message handling with the administrative team is efficient and placed in the system immediately. Ensure that all appropriate communication for upcoming business is complete and distributed in a timely manner. Work directly with the Director of Catering to ensure that all catering menu proposals are presented to the client accurately and effectively. Apply to Restaurant Associates today!
