Position Overview:
As an AI Researcher at Dyna Robotics, you will research and develop cutting edge AI models for dexterous robotic manipulation, which is the key for unlocking both short-term GTM applications as well as the long-term vision of general-purpose robots. You will collaborate closely with the AI team as well as the General Software Team to rapidly iterate on novel algorithms and large-scale model training to deliver the most general and adaptive robotic manipulation models possible. This role is crucial for ensuring the company’s short-term deliverables and long-term competitive advantage.
Key Duties
Research and develop new AI models for robotic manipulation
Design, implement, and evaluate new robot learning algorithms on physical robots
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance robotic manipulation capabilities
Produce and deliver dependable, high-quality robotic software solutions
Qualifications
Master degree or above in Computer Science, Robotics, or related discipline, or comparable hands-on experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in AI and robotics research
Comprehensive understanding of robot learning methodologies (e.g., reinforcement learning, imitation learning)
Familiarity with various robot data collection techniques
Practical experience deploying AI models on physical robots
Familiarity with robot simulation platforms like Mujoco, NVIDIA Isaac Stack, or Drake
Strong enthusiasm for robotics and developing robotic products
Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
Mastery of Python and proficiency in at least one major deep learning framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax)
Demonstrated research excellence, evidenced by publications in prestigious conferences such as RSS, CoRL, ICRA, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, etc
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related discipline
Familiarity with multi-modal foundation models
Exceptional creativity, productivity, and independent research skills
