The Chief Development Officer (CDO) will be responsible for leading and implementing the organization’s fundraising strategy to ensure financial sustainability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan that aligns with the organization’s mission and goals. Donor Relations:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors; create tailored engagement strategies to enhance donor loyalty and giving. Team Leadership:
Oversee the development team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Grant Management:
Identify and pursue grant opportunities; oversee grant writing and reporting processes to ensure compliance and accountability. Marketing and Communications:
Collaborate with the communications team to promote fundraising initiatives and enhance the organization’s visibility and brand. Data Management:
Utilize CRM and fundraising software to track donor engagement, manage fundraising campaigns, and analyze data for continuous improvement. Collaboration:
Work closely with the Board of Directors to identify funding priorities and engage them in fundraising efforts. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 6+ years of experience in fundraising and development, preferably in a non-profit setting. Proven track record of securing significant funding from diverse sources. Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage stakeholders. Proficient in fundraising software and CRM tools; experience with digital fundraising platforms a plus. Passion and a commitment to social impact. Job Type:
