PRODUCT DESIGN & USER INTERFACE / ASSOCIATE OR PATENT AGENTDirect Counsel is partnered with an AMLaw100 firm who is seeking a junior to mid-level associate or mid-level patent agent to join their Product Design & User Interface Patent Prosecution Practice Group. This position is open to all firm offices, with a preference for
Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, DC, Houston, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, or St. Louis.Qualifications:Must possess a high level of academic achievement.Solid law firm experience.Engineering and industry experience.Superb writing and communication skills.Ideally 2+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.BS Degree in physics, electrical engineering, or computer science.Preferred experience: software related technologies; and/or ii. Artificial intelligence related technologies; and/or iii. IOT, networking, and related technologies; and/or iv. Quantum technologies.JD and admission to the USPTO required for associate candidates.USPTO admission required for patent agent candidates.A cover letter, resume, law school and undergraduate (graduate when applicable) transcripts, and writing sample (preferred patent application) are required for consideration.Compensation and Benefits:For Associates: $240,000-$290,000 depending on experience.For Patent Agents: $110,000-$190,000 depending on experience.A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance.Benefits include medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, voluntary insurance including vision, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
