Site Coordinator (San Diego, CA)

to support the Suicide Care, Prevention, and Research Initiative (Suicide CPR Initiative) within the Medical and Clinical Psychology (MPS) department of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland. The Site Coordinator will support a research study evaluating a relationship enrichment program that seeks to equip military couples with evidence-informed strategies to adaptively cope with stressors as a unified team.

This position is a 1-year project-based role at 10 to 20 hours a week starting January 2025.The Site Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating weekend retreats in the San Diego, CA area; they will also be responsible for supporting participant recruitment from military installations in the area (e.g., Naval Base San Diego) and across the Southwest region.The Site Coordinator is expected to work approximately 10 to 20 hours per week overseeing tasks in the San Diego, CA area to include managing participant recruitment and retreat logistics in the assigned region, and delivering a sub-clinical intervention to military couples. Additional tasks will include coordination with local military communities and leadership, communicating with participants, and regular communication with the USUHS research team via phone, email, and video conference.Responsibilities

Organizes retreat logistics and delivery for all retreats conducted in assigned region.Supports participant recruitment in assigned region, including briefing military personnel, distributing recruitment materials, and acting as a liaison between the research study and local military communities.Engages with research participants via phone and email, ensuring compliance with research tasks, providing support, and maintaining positive relationships with participants.Serves as the primary facilitator for sub-clinical intervention retreats, ensuring adherence to the curriculum and addressing logistical challenges.Coordinates and communicates regularly with the research team via phone, email, and video conference.May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, including attendance at required training.Qualifications

Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree required. Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 6-8 years experience required.Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesPrior experience in facilitating relationship education curriculum is required; training and certification in PREP-based curricula is preferred.Strong group facilitation, communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check.Physical CapabilitiesLifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs.Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.Work EnvironmentThis position will be hybrid.Travel may be required up to 20% to attend training, weekend retreats, and in-person meetings.Compensation:The hourly pay range for this position is $42.60-$65.00, determined based on experience and education.Benefits:HJF offers a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on health and well-being, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, health savings, retirement plans, and more.Note:
