This may include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and/or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions.The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, detailing technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and improvement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that tackle complex business problems.Your Primary Responsibilities:Use hands-on experience with Java, APIs, and AWS to design and develop API services, automation capabilities, and solutions.Work closely with team architects to introduce innovative solutions and implement them in accordance with organizational standards.Analyze various automation tools, perform feasibility analysis, and develop proof of concepts.Contribute to the development of automation frameworks and tools required for next generation test automation.Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to automation engineers across the organization.Maintain execution environments built on the AWS cloud.Develop and improve continuous integration/testing solutions within the DevOps pipeline (Jenkins).Collaborate with multiple stakeholders such as product management, application development, DevOps, and other technical groups.Participate in automation framework awareness programs aimed at different target groups.Take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion.Provide enterprise-wide support to improve automation capabilities adoption.Qualifications:Experience as Sr. Java Developer/Sr. SDET/Developer4-5 years in Java/API Development or test automation framework developmentExperience in analysis, development, debugging, optimizing, and scaling applications/automated test solutionsTalents Needed For Success:Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing Java/API/web services/Test Automation FrameworksAdvanced Java development skillsUnderstanding of design patterns, data structures, and experience working in layered architecture with significant experience in applying these skillsExperience in AWS/Cloud and CI/CD technologies (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.).Hands-on experience or knowledge in open-source tools such as Selenium, Junit/TestNG/CucumberAbility to interpret designs and specifications and design automated solutions.Experience in selecting and configuring appropriate tools and frameworks to effectively drive automation solutions.Ability to programmatically test any software product and develop unit tests.Advanced analytical, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.Ability to think creatively and find creative solutions.Dynamic, methodical, and problem-solving, detail-oriented, and quality-oriented.Proven ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.Nice to Have SkillsKnowledge of scripting languages like Python, Groovy, Shell is desirable.Knowledge of IAC tools like Terraform and/or Chef, Ansible is desirable.Knowledge of tools like JMETER is desirable.Knowledge of Cloud Providers like AWS, AZURE is desirable.Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
