This role would be responsible for leading solution architecture & innovation strategy for digital channels across web, mobile, virtual assistants (chatbots/voicebots), home office email, social media, podcasts & 3rd party paid media. This role would also own & drive technical architecture roadmaps and future vision. As the innovation lead, this role would be looking at continuous innovation to accelerate customer engagement through the different digital channels. These would involve leveraging multiple, varied technologies as well as GenAI, AI/ML technology stacks. It would also warrant partnering with Senior Architect(s) and technical leads on innovation initiatives across platforms for changes. The solution architecture & innovation responsibilities would go across both new technical programs as well as ongoing technical operations.The individual will primarily partner with WCE (OCS, CE & CEP) Leads, CIT Leads, Digital & Production agency partners globally to architect new digital channel capabilities that have the greatest impact on the enterprise, set the right expectations, and ensure that CIT resources are appropriately engaged to fulfill the intended business outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with the leads of Worldwide Commercialization Excellence (WCE), Commercialization IT teams within Digital Engagement Platforms, Content Platforms and Delivery, Enterprise/Information Architecture, and the broader IT matrix organization with an app specific focus on solution architecture, innovation, design & delivery of new digital capabilities, and a secondary focus on the enablement and simplification of existing digital capabilities to drive effective content enablement experience.Collaborate with IT partners and business teams to understand requirements/use cases & translate them into technical requirements.Improve or align requirement outcomes to architect & help deliver successful release for new initiatives and enhancements.Design solution architecture by evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and tools, including GenAI, to support digital channels’ delivery needs.Define and enforce best practices for solution architecture, ensuring consistency and adherence to BMS standards.Contribute & manage macro architectures and technology blueprints, system architecture and design documentation and CLAD processes.Support Senior Architect(s) with solution architecture, innovation & design of new digital capabilities.Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement to drive productivity and/or cost savings.Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) with user management, security, data privacy & performance as key considerations to help prove out a potential solution to scale into production.Demonstrate the ability to identify high value capabilities with clear differentiators when making digital capability platform choices.Responsible for exploring and looking at new ways of working, using Gen AI approach to enable digital channels for an amplified customer engagement & experience.Explore opportunities to utilize GenAI to enhance the speed and quality of content authoring across all channels and tactics.Lead the design and development of digital channels’ solution architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies for digital channels including advancements in new GenAI models.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and implement innovative solutions.Work closely with vendors and external partners to ensure seamless integration of third-party solutions and platforms.Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices.Responsible for ensuring that all IT capability leads & functions are successful in their delivery of services for the Business & WCE teams. Key matrix IT partner functions (outside of DEP leads) include enterprise & data architecture, cyber security, application build & support, portfolio & program management, enterprise information management, collaboration services, infrastructure services.Qualifications & ExperienceDigital Marketing domain experience.Commercialization (Commercial + Medical) domain & Digital Engagement Channel Solutions experience.Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the confidence to build strong partnerships & influence senior business leaders.Demonstrated leadership in the planning and execution of enterprise digital capabilities for commercialization business units.Expertise on software-development lifecycle methodologies including Agile, Lean, Waterfall etc.Hands-on experience with multiple implementations of digital platform (web, social, virtual assistants, podcasts, home office email, 3rd party media etc.) capabilities.Demonstrated ability to lead & drive digital platform(s) technology strategy.Ability to lead the analysis of complex business needs and integrate those into compelling and actionable strategic plans.Is solution/user experience oriented with the ability to partner with & guide delivery team resources.Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as AWS Glue, Informatica and integration platforms such as Mulesoft or webMethods are good to have.Strong knowledge/experience in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js etc.).Strong knowledge/experience of querying/programming languages such as SQL, SOQL, Python and JavaScript/JSON are an added advantage.Experience with Git, AI Predictive Solutions, ChatGPT and strong understanding of IT processes like information/data architecture, data privacy reviews, cyber security reviews, risk assessments etc.Ability to manage business process analysis and improvement including cost benefit analysis/estimation and post implementation KPI metrics delivery.Ability to scan technical landscape for leading edge solutions and create business cases for new investments, including level of effort/cost required to implement solutions & services, and managing the delivery process.Other ExperienceWorking knowledge of agile software-development lifecycle methodologies.Demonstrated ability to support a dynamic culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Potential to develop into an internally and externally recognized thought-leader in the field of digital channels/platform capabilities.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field with 10+ years of IT work experience.Work experience in an architect role (with approx. 7 years of experience in solution architecture for digital channels) and understanding of architectural methodologies and best practices.5-7 years of working experience with most of the digital channels (web, mobile, virtual assistants, podcasts, home office email, social media, 3rd party paid media).Strong business knowledge of digital engagement channels with proven leadership abilities.Familiarity with and awareness of the Pharmaceutical Industry.Capable of working cooperatively across boundaries and within a matrix to achieve results.Ability to deliver complex systems to one or multiple geographies and business units.Demonstrates strong presentation & influencing skills with key partners across functions/regions.
