Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished in accordance with prescribed priorities, time limitations, and funding conditions. Infrastructure Project Managers ensure effective and efficient management of the project consistent with an established project management cycle and compliance with department guidelines, procedures, and systems; and related work as required.Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Geology, Chemistry, Biology or related field, or a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field.Four (4) years of professional construction or technical project management related experience.OR Possession of a current Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) issued by the Project Management Institute and two additional years of project management experience earned after the receipt of a PMP Certification.Promotional: Permanent status as an Infrastructure Project Manager I and two years of experience in that job classification.A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however, credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years. Domicile requirements are currently waived for the purpose of application. However, all new full-time employees hired into this classification on or after January 1, 2013 must be domiciled in Orleans Parish within 180 days of hire. Airport and public safety employees are excluded from this provision. Additional exceptions to the domicile requirement may be made on a case-by-case basis.Background Check

The hiring department will conduct interviews of qualified individuals prior to requesting a criminal background check. Effective August 1, 2023, the working test (probationary) period for all positions in the classified service is one year.Substance Abuse Testing
