We are seeking an experienced Utility Project Manager for a Direct Hire role with a General Contracting construction company in Hyattsville, MD
Experience managing dry utilities installation, especially electric is mandatoryThis position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and matching 401k!Pay Range: $85-125K (depending on experience)Mon-Fri (First shift)Responsibilities for Utility Project Manager :
Develop an understanding of the project plans and specsEnsure proper cost tracking and productivity reporting for projects.Review of estimates for accuracy of quantitiesReview of subcontractor’s invoices for accuracy of quantitiesCoordinate with the Construction Manager and report progress of subcontractors.Review Budget/Cost/Production reports with Superintendent.Monitor progress to ensure maximum production is being met.Assist in maintaining the project submittal registerMaintain the project specific RFI log.Perform project completion QC Checklists.Manage and develop project needs summary and coordinate deliveries as neededManage project buyout processQualifications for Utility Project Manager :
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize project performance.Desired 3-5 years of experience fully managing construction projects to include all aspects such as: scheduling, budgets, customer relations, change orders, and handling issues/problems that arise.Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is vital; superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills are essential.If you are interested in learning more about this role, please submit your resume for immediate consideration!
