This helps them control the risk and expense of e-discovery events more confidently. Our team of global professionals and industry leaders includes e-discovery experts, software developers, and forensic specialists who are experienced in many of the largest e-discovery matters of the past decade. We work directly with corporations and their law firms on the front lines, helping them with challenges such as collection from the cloud, multinational discovery, and e-discovery cost control.About the RoleThe Project Finance Manager is responsible for management and oversight of a project’s finances. This function will work closely with Sales, Consulting, Operations, FP&A and Accounting as needed. This person will have a comprehensive understanding of the commercial terms of an engagement, services offered, scope, estimated budget, payment terms and client reporting expectations. The financial health of the firm begins with each time entry and ends with cash receipt. This role is responsible for all of a matter’s finances from engagement initiation to payment.What You’ll DoLead engagements from a financial and budget management perspective, to minimize write downs and ensure client understanding of FTI value as it relates to our invoices.Defend FTI value and revenue internally and externally.Lead effort with Senior Timekeeper (STK) and/or the Sales team to document scope expansion of statement of work if services delivered are beyond contracted services.Responsible for budget management and invoicing per matter or Account as needed.Monitor spend across all matters under management vs budgets and prepare and communicate updates to Client directly as needed to manage expectations.Accountable for understanding each engagement’s unique contractual documents and commercial terms.If terms differ from our standard, it is the role of this individual to understand the services and fee structure, expectations of the client, and communicate these to the engagement team and STK to ensure alignment from the delivery team.Accountable for managing subscription Clients and associated invoicing and Client reporting.Initiate and lead Client reporting discussions with the Client as appropriate for the engagement.Prepare client-requested accruals, financial status reports and change orders as necessary by Client.Collaborate with the engagement teams to ensure services delivered are billed in accordance with the statement of work.Validate accurate matter set-up for rates per SOW with billing team.Review and validate professional time entry and unit-cost entry against statement of work, weekly.Issues invoices monthly by the 15th business day or earlier for all matters.Follow-up on AR and ensure payments are made by contracted payment term dates.Update reserve templates as needed for aged WIP and AR on a monthly basis to document risk of aged WIP or AR.Ensure completion of data disposition upon matter completion.For MSA clients, facilitate conflict checks and new matter opening in CRM and CPQ.Reduce write downs due to poor matter management.Increase Client satisfaction and reporting consistency.Reduce revenue leakage.Invoice quickly and accurately.Centralize complexity in this Center of Excellence.Liberate time for billable practitioners in Consulting delivery.Reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) by expedited invoicing and cash collections.Provide consistent support by Client.How You’ll GrowWe are committed to investing and supporting you in your professional development and we have developed a range of programs focused on fostering leadership, growth and development opportunities.
