Job Description

The Investment Grade Credit Sector Specialist's primary function is to act as the intermediary between institutional investors and the firm's secondary and primary trading groups for both corporate bonds and credit derivative products.

We expect that candidates would have strong credit skills and prior credit experience (minimum of 5+ years) - preferably a desk analyst/research background but time spent in capital markets, sales or trading would be considered as well. Ideally, we are seeking someone that has existing relationships within the IG Credit market. The candidate must be focused and self-motivated and willing to bring a high degree of knowledge and energy to the business each day. The desired candidate is expected to cover sectors within the US IG Industrials group but would also be expected to interface with the Credit Specialist teams in Europe and the trading desk in Asia. We aim to find someone who is committed to branding a business and a franchise and harnessing all that Citi offers (sales/trading, thought leadership, syndicate and capital markets) to contribute to a top credit platform.

Responsibilities:Ability to leverage existing contacts network, understand client needs, introduce the Citi offering, convince clients to adopt it and increase client satisfaction and Citi revenue.Assist other team members in strategic positioning as well as to close transactions with various internal stakeholders (trading, structuring, sales, legal, credit and risk etc.).Improve footprint with the client base - which should translate into incremental sales credit and trading revenues for the various relevant trading desks.Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics.Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm's reputation.Be familiar with and adhere to Citi's Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services.Qualifications:At least 5+ years of relevant Credit experience.Self-motivated, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Must have or be able to obtain required licenses.Education:Bachelor's degree in business or related field.Job Family Group:
