Job Description
IR+M seeks an individual to join our Investment Team as a Research Analyst. This individual will report to the Director of Credit Research and work alongside other Research Analysts focused on investment grade corporate sectors. This role provides the candidate the opportunity to join IR+M’s growing credit research team. Summary of Essential Job Functions
Perform analysis of quantitative and qualitative factors, including ESG, that impact current and prospective fixed income investments for assigned sectors. Publish and maintain comprehensive issuer and sector research on IR+M’s Research Management System; build financial models to stress cash flows, credit metrics, ratings, and coverage. Perform, maintain, and justify fundamental credit and ESG quality ranking assessments for assigned sectors. Present research opinions and advocate for relative value ideas. Maintain coverage of assigned sectors, communicate changes in views, and periodically present sector outlooks; attend industry conferences and engage with issuers. Provide backup coverage for teammates as assigned. Monitor and communicate market developments and credit strategy. Build and develop research competencies with an ever-better mindset. Contribute to Investment Team collaboration including huddles, chats, and ad hoc discussions. Partner with individuals across the firm to support client service needs and other ad hoc projects. Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of relevant industry experience with at least 3 years of prior credit research experience. Knowledge of the fixed income markets and relative value analysis. Strong analytical skills, fluency in Excel, proficiency in financial modeling/financial statement analysis, and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to varying communication styles. Collaborative mindset, self-starter, and seeker of opportunities for self-improvement. Willing to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment. Critical thinker and proactive problem solver. Flexibility to juggle multiple priorities and projects for different end users. Strong organization skills. Education:
Bachelor’s degree required. MBA, CFA, or progress towards is preferred. What we offer you:

Base Salary Range:
$130,000 - $155,000 Annual Performance Bonus:
This role is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
