This company is the US Head office of the European based HQ and head company. They are specialists for awnings, tarpaulins, and technical textiles, as well as for innovative solutions in the field of textile architecture and environmental technology. Their manufacturing plants are located in NC, between Charlotte and Asheville with several locations and main location in a historic building in the middle of town. The building is as unique as the company, and they are always looking for great people to join their team.We are looking for a National Sales Manager to drive the company’s development and guide it towards long-term success.The National Sales Manager is responsible for the achievement of our business goals and support the development and execution of the business strategy for the Global Business Unit. The National Sales Manager will lead a small sales team of 7 fostering the growth of members while enhancing the customer experience and developing long-term customer relationships.Key Responsibilities:
Create and lead a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with organizational and group vision and budgeted sales goals establishing a 1–5-year roadmap.Responsibility for the achievement of business goals (turnover).Support in the development and execution of the business strategy for the SUN-TEX Global business unit.Support in the implementation of the business strategy, oversee all business activities in the Americas to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.Key Account Management - Develop strategic plans for defined Key Accounts and ensure execution.Manage daily sales activities within your own account base, as well as those of the Sales associates and/or commercial Sales agents assigned to you.Oversee and manage all pre and post-sale activities within their assigned account base.Assist in launching and demonstrating new collection introductions at trade shows, seminars and other industry and customer events.Carry out sales promotions and order procurement or arrange sales of the Company’s products (outdoor furniture, shade-, awning & marine applications, hospitality & contract, big box/high volume) for the regions of North and South America.Provide market trends, customer feedback and input to the Product Management / Marketing and Design Team for new fabric by maintaining a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company.Attend & participate in sales meetings and tradeshows.Business trips to Key Customers, OEMS and their manufacturing facilities as required.Timely execution of the defined planning processes (3-year plan / budget / budget review / ROFO).Monthly reporting to Company’s Global & Board. Analysis and evaluation of the market situation - customers/products/competitors/trends.Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership and review work of assigned members. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend merit increases, promotions, transfers, corrective actions, and other personnel actions. Interview and recommend candidates for employment.Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales or related field is preferred.At least 5 years of demonstrated sales experience with previous sales leadership required.All Candidates must be able to provide work related references.
