The main function of a Technical Writer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.Job Responsibilities:Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.Maintain records and files of work and revisions.Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.Collection/Documentation of documentation requirements (use case, audience, objective of documentation prior to creation/development stage).Create/Draft/Maintain technical documentation (further details noted in ‘types of technical documents within scope).Editorial Review and Co-Collaboration with subject matter experts to produce technical documentation that has high levels of clarity and actionability.Accountable for evaluating/monitoring document readiness for broad consumption and/or launch.Create/Draft/Maintain marketing content and communication templates related to program delivery.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, English, journalism, or communications.8-10 years experience required.Experience in creating documentation for a technical audience.Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.Ability to read some programming code.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.The target hiring compensation range for this role is $49 to $52 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.About Aquent Talent:
