Salary determined based on years of experience, education level, and ECE units.The JCCSF is seeking experienced and enthusiastic early childhood educators to join our outstanding team at each of our three preschool sites. Lead Teachers have multiple opportunities to grow their leadership skill set while teaching children ages 2-5 years old in a play-based setting inspired by the values of Reggio-Emilia and Jewish learning. Our students delight in discovering an early love of learning.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESSupport site teaching team by overseeing teacher coverage, classroom curriculum and environment.Facilitate and plan classroom team meetings to support planning and implementing curriculum and family experiences.Ensure that health and safety practices as well as the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children are maintained in their classroom.Support teaching team in understanding policies, procedures, and program philosophy.Lead and collaborate with teaching team to conduct family conferences and other classroom family events, including any written documentation.Write, review and edit all written communication and documentation by classroom teaching team.Participate in meetings outside team meetings, such as Lead Teacher meetings or ECE Leadership Team meetings (as invited).Lead professional development for the ECE program and site meetings.Observe children who have been identified with needs and attend goal meetings along with site leadership to coordinate services in and out of the classroom.As needed, provide oversight of the school in the absence of administration.REQUIREMENTSBA in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field.Minimum of 24 ECE units, including the 12 ECE Core Units and 3 units of adult supervision.
