SVP, Creative & ContentAbout The United Football LeagueThe United Football League (UFL) is the premier spring football platform, formed by the merging of the XFL and USFL in 2024 under the combined ownership of RedBird Capital Partners, FOX, Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson. The UFL has eight teams in Arlington (TX), Birmingham (AL), Detroit (MI), Houston (TX), San Antonio (TX), Memphis (TN), St. Louis (MO), and Washington D.C.About The PositionThe Director of Digital & Content will manage the real-time audience experience of the UFL brand on all digital platforms. This includes engagement with fans to play a critical role in how they view:The LeagueUnique brands of its franchise teamsThe profile of elite athletesBig personality coachesCelebrity Entrepreneur OwnershipThis role will take a data-driven approach to building awareness, creating cultural relevance, and driving engagement, demand for tickets and merchandise. The Director of Digital & Content will be the de facto leader in fostering partnerships with new and existing digital and social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube. Working with the SVP, Creative & Content, this person sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, digital production and partner integration. Additionally, the role will interface with the UFL’s internal stakeholders in order to build alignment and foster the evolution of our league-owned platforms including the UFL website and mobile application.What you will doOversee digital strategy and implementation; stay ahead of technology trends in the digital space and identify opportunities for innovation; utilizes analytics to optimize efficiencies and performance.Lead the league’s social media efforts to enhance fan awareness and drive engagement.Manage day-to-day key social and digital media initiatives, including account management, creation of editorial calendars, promotions, big events and commercial support.Distribute content, news, create conversations, gather fan sentiment and drive innovation across all key social media platforms.Collaborate with key league stakeholders to refine and optimize content and editorial strategy.Play a leading role in evolving the league’s short-form video strategy, both through the lens of existing league channels as well as more traditional broadcast opportunities with the league’s telecast partners.Execute against existing partner priorities while identifying and executing new monetization opportunities.Focus on optimization and platform content creation across mediums to support business objectives.Collaborate across cross functional teams to ensure social and digital media strategy is executed and integrated within all areas of the UFL business.Coordinate multi-departmental production workflow and programming for all digital content, including video, news and photography.Identify social media trends and recommend new business strategies to leverage them for increased business impact.Assess digital project roadmap and manage communication plans for new products and applications.Present content plans and performance reports for senior executives, including the CEO.Monitor and collect data across all channels for in-depth analysis and reporting purposes, ensuring the efficacy and optimization of content distribution and making continuous improvements as needed.What you will bringBachelor’s degree required.7+ years of experience in digital and social content.Extensive knowledge and experience in production as well as digital and social content.Management and experience leading a team with a proven track record of inspiring teams of digital marketing professionals.Deep understanding of all social channels, established and emerging, and audience growth tactics with experience with creative, and relatable storytelling through social and digital channels.Proven track record of delivering success via organic content on social and digital platforms.Passion for emerging media trends and technology, especially social platform products.Deep understanding of digital and social media platform metrics and analytics. A strong reliance on data analysis to measure performance against critical metrics.Proven track record of identifying monetization opportunities and delivering results.Influential thinker, impeccable communicator of ideas and trust-building skills.Familiarity with pre and post production workflows and tools including Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to train new employees on products.Appetite for and knowledge of football with experience in sports social and managing team or league social accounts.Extraordinary project management capabilities.Start-up mentality with the poise of a seasoned media executive.Energetic and committed leader with a positive attitude who has an open and straightforward operating style with the flexibility to change approach as necessary.Personal CharacteristicsEntrepreneurial mindset - you can both find and create opportunities to succeed without being directed. With a preference of the candidate being in the Arlington, TX area.Primarily works in a remote office and/or an office environment but may include attending select games and events in UFL team markets.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.May be required to travel to the UFL Hub and other team markets.Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.SalaryPursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience location is $115,000-$130,000.
