UX Designer
for an
Energy client .
This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. The role is located in Charlotte, NC and is hybrid with 2 days onsite weekly.
As a UX Designer, you will contribute to various projects, including those focused on outages & reliability, energy usage and analysis, clean energy initiatives, and the main customer website.
Key Responsibilities:
Design human-centered experiences by understanding user needs, creating graphic elements, and building intuitive user interfaces.
Work on complex projects and represent the UX function within cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with business partners and software engineers to gather and evaluate user requirements.
Develop storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to communicate design ideas.
Create and refine graphic user interface elements and process flows for digital solutions.
Design low- and high-fidelity UI mockups and prototypes to guide development.
Produce original graphic designs, including images, sketches, and tables.
Present draft designs to internal teams and stakeholders, gathering feedback to refine solutions.
Troubleshoot UX issues, such as responsiveness, and make adjustments as needed.
Maintain consistency with design style standards, including fonts, colors, and imagery.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Design, IT, or related fields (e.g., UX Design, Graphic Design, Human-Centered Design).
1–2 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
2 years of prior experience in addition to a degree.
Strong understanding of digital design patterns, user interface best practices, and design tools.
