We're seeking a visionary Creative Director to lead our creative team and drive the overall creative design strategy for our stationery and gifts brands.
Inked Brands works with niche brands to scale their businesses by analyzing and optimizing product assortment for both the eCommerce and wholesale sales channels. The
ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of creative talent, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of consumer trends, preferably within the stationery and gifts market. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing innovative ideas that resonate with our audience and elevate our brands.
WHAT YOU’LL DO -
Creative Vision & Strategy:
Develop and articulate the creative vision for our brands, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and market trends in arts and crafts, stationery and gifts.
Stay updated on consumer behavior, emerging design trends, and industry best practices to inform creative strategies.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of graphic designers, fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity.
Provide support and unique perspectives on design challenges, encouraging innovative solutions that enhance the team’s work.
Conduct regular team meetings to share ideas, review projects, and provide constructive feedback to elevate team performance.
Project Management:
Oversee the creative process from concept to execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, particularly for product launches and seasonal campaigns.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure cohesive design execution.
Brand Development:
Maintain brand consistency across all sales channels, ensuring all creative outputs align with the brand's voice and identity, especially in the competitive stationery and gifts market.
Conduct brand audits and identify opportunities for enhancement and growth within the product range.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with teams (internal and external) to understand their vision and needs, translating them into impactful creative solutions that enhance our product and customer engagement.
Build strong relationships with teams (internal and external) and partners to foster trust and loyalty.
Performance Evaluation:
Analyze the effectiveness of creative initiatives through metrics and KPIs, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize performance in the stationery and gifts sector.
Provide regular reports and insights to senior management regarding project outcomes and creative impact.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE -
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Business, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Preferred 5-7+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in the consumer products industry with a focus on stationery and gifts.
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work and successful campaigns relevant to consumer products.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
