This role will work on building the frontend of our platform in ReactJS. This work may be in support of new feature development, defect resolution, or UX enhancements as prioritized by the business. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Product Management and UX Design teams throughout the software development process, detailing requirements, reviewing work in progress, and addressing issues found via manual test efforts. The role will need to pay close attention to consistency and detail in implementation of design and UX specifications, along with functional requirements. The candidate will work with other team leads to define our frontend strategy as we foray into micro-frontend based architecture. The role may also offer the ability to manage a small team.ResponsibilitiesBuild application features and reusable UI components in React 18+Write unit and integration tests, using Jest and React Testing LibraryUse modern frontend state management technologies like React Query, Redux, and hooksActive participation in recurring stand-up meetings, refinement, and retrospectivesParticipate in thorough Peer Code Reviews as part of our standard SDLC and Change Management ProcessContribute to development of internal standards for frontend code style and code quality, and model them for the teamContribute to development of testing best practices, and model them for the teamParticipate in or lead design/architecture discussions about forward-looking technology strategySupport clients through systems integrations and production issuesQualifications5+ years of development experience with JS frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular, with 10+ years total progressive experience5+ years of HTML / CSS development5+ years of experience with web development ecosystem and working with backend REST / GraphQL APIsExperience working with micro-frontends is a plusFour-year college degree, preferably in Computer Science or a Math/Engineering disciplineKeen eye for technical implementation of design and user experience elementsOpinionated view on CSS structure within the context of a large applicationDemonstrated experience with advanced CSS implementationsAble to work in an Agile / Kanban methodologyAble to work independently or as part of a group effort, as requiredExcellent problem-solving skillsCollaborative approach to software developmentThe base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
