Data Governance Analyst - Remote
ICF is hiring for a Data Analyst focused on supporting Data Governance. This position requires end-to-end data governance analysis and management skills. These include but are not limited to supporting implementation of Data Governance Architecture, performing data quality and analysis assessments, working on Master Data Management programs, and supporting data privacy and security governance processes. This position documents and defines best practices, leads adoption processes, researches emerging best practices, and implements Data Governance Strategies. The ideal candidate will provide specialized support for Data Governance-related issues and concerns. They will also have the ability to implement processes, effect re-engineering, handle change management, handle continuous process improvement, and perform root cause analysis.ResponsibilitiesGathers functional and technical requirements for Data Governance projects.Creates and maintains process flows, policies, and procedures.Performs data analysis, data profiling, and data quality assessments.Identifies and documents data retention, data privacy, data security, and data access requirements.Implements and maintains governance strategies.Identifies and documents Critical Data Elements (CDE) for Golden Records.Defines Match and Merge and Trust rules for Master Data Management.Applies standardization and normalization policies across enterprise data assets.Triage and investigate user inquiries for dataset availability.Queries and analyzes data to identify business insights.Defines approaches to improve data quality, such as data validation, cleansing, and profiling.Ensures data privacy and security by implementing measures and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.Defines KPI/Metrics and indicators.Ensures adoption of required policies and standards across the enterprise.Ensures issues raised by business and functional data governance leaders are resolved.Required Skills4 years of work as a Data or Business Analyst.2 years of experience implementing Data Governance projects.Preferred SkillsExperience with the following:Informatica Axon.Databricks Unity Catalog.Auditing MDM data and rules.Auditing data governance structures and outputs.Structured Query Language (SQL).Working at ICFICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, but we’re not your typical consultants.
