What will you be doing?
Barclays Services Corp. seeks Pega IT Application Specialist in Whippany, New Jersey (multiple positions).
On behalf of a global financial services organization, design and support IT applications built on the Pega 7 platform. Develop, create, and modify IT applications used by Wholesale Onboarding, Know Your Customer, Fulfilment, and Financial Crime Run the Bank teams. Develop and implement technical specifications to meet functional requirements, modify existing software to correct errors, and perform change management activities including defining and implementing procedures and technologies. Use Pega RULES Process Commander (PRPC) to provide ownership and delivery of low-level design, and implement PRPC components and complex user interfaces. Participate in IT service reviews and post incident reviews. Facilitate issue triage, investigation and coordination to closure, including leading triage on major incident calls, and involved in release management activities. Responsible for data and configuration changes and execution. Identify service improvements and stability activities. Collate data for Proactive Service Improvement Initiatives, including trending of incidents, root cause, and other major incidents to identify improvement actions. Own and drive data for implementation of Capacity/Performance Management (CPM) framework. Extensively involved in designing class structure to provide maximum reusability. Review implementation plans and release documentation. Maintain open and timely communication with relevant businesses, suppliers and IT personnel, particularly Change the Bank IT Development teams. Drive complex and major incident resolution, and implement and coordinate higher scale chain. Utilize knowledge of PRPC design and implementation as well as ITIL frameworks, Pega application design concepts and development best practices, and various IT tools and technologies such as Java, Web services, SOAP services, CSS, Unix, relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and CRM and BPM tools, to carry out the job duties.

Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
