Application Architect - Cloud Data Modernization

IntroductionAs an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesLeads and builds data modernization and transformation solutions & BI Design & Data Modeling.Work with technical leads, database administrators, and database developers to provide recommendations and solutions for data migrations at scale.Perform Extract/Transform/Load activities for multiple data and database technologies, such as Oracle to PostgreSQL, Oracle to SQL Server as a Service, relational to NoSQL, Data Warehouse to Data Lake solutions.Transform business requirements into technical specifications, develop prototypes, and proof of concepts for specified business challenges.Assist clients in architecting scalable, highly available data migration solutions leveraging cloud technologies and utilizing agile development methodologies.Expected to have knowledge and/or experience in the following with focus on data ETL activities: RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Amazon RDS, etc), Data Lake technologies, Data Transformation tools (IBM InfoSphere DataStage, Informatica PowerCenter, Microsoft SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator), XML, JSON, NoSQL, Python.Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseBI Designer, Data Modeler with Cloud Skills (Databricks & Snowflake)Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseGood communication and interpersonal skills. Python/Pyspark skills.
