The Senior Developer Security Operations Engineer will advance the capabilities of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) and Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (CNMOC) by following a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline with geospatial software on local and cloud-based enterprise technologies. NAVOCEANO and CNMOC are located at NASA’s Stennis Space Center, and all tasking is performed on-site.
Job Duties:
Support DevSecOps initiatives by developing and implementing test-driven security within a CI/CD pipeline.
Develop and track Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to address identified security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
Able to document a clear and repeatable process, then train other team members to perform automated assessment reviews.
Develop and implement security assessment automation tools to support DevSecOps practices.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate security assurance into the CI/CD pipeline.
Conduct security assessments and risk analyses on new and existing software.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the creation of security policies and standards.
Work closely with compliance teams to ensure continuous monitoring and authorization.
Assist in developing security training and awareness for technical staff.
Stay current with evolving security landscape, industry trends, tools, and best practices.
Required Experience:
Active SECRET Clearance with T5 investigation
B.S. in Computer Science or related IT degree
IAT/IAM II certification (such as Security+)
Experience with Amazon Web Services, Cloud Technologies, Cloud DevSecOps
Experience with Cybersecurity, DISA STIGs, Infrastructure as Code
Experience with Agile project management
