We are committed to ensuring that all candidates hired share our commitment to diversity, anti-racism, and inclusion.Position SummaryThe Clinical Information Systems Business Analyst works closely with project managers, clinical application teams, trainers, and operational stakeholders to document operational processes and to identify opportunities for improving processes and technical application workflows. The business analyst plays a key role between clinical stakeholders and IT teams to translate business needs and objectives into technology solutions. This role assesses problem statements, conducts analysis, and validates requirements to design a successful solution.ResponsibilitiesDocument requirements and serve as liaison between clinical stakeholders and clinical application teams, identifying and resolving gaps.Document business cases; identify opportunities for standardization, future enhancements, and modifications.Document workflows to determine and document both current-state and future state processes, workflow diagrams, and requirements.Document how enhancements and solutions positively contribute to overarching strategy.Analyze and investigate complex problems to identify solutions, facilitate decisions, and develop a plan to implement.Document changes and impacts to users.Create and enact communication plans to assist with change management.Work closely with project managers and analysts to provide operational support: Conduct project impact analysis on operational and system workflows, facilitate design improvements, create testing scenarios, and conduct testing and validation including user acceptance validation.Provide project management for smaller projects following project management methodologies.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, or computer science, or EPIC certification in a related area of focus.3-5 years of experience.Equivalent years of experience in healthcare.Certification in Health IT course.Strong writing skills and ability to produce clear and unambiguous documentation.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Proficient in creating diagrams and process flows in Visio or similar software.Experience solving complex problems with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.Experience identifying and documenting requirements and working with a team to develop and implement solutions.Demonstrates competent internal consulting skills and experience to bridge the gap between technology and clinical stakeholders to enable organizations to make effective decisions.Preferred:Project or product management experience preferred.Strong skills and understanding in Epic patient access and revenue cycle functionalities.A statement describing your commitment and contributions toward greater diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism in your career or that will be made through your work at Fred Hutch is requested of all finalists.The annual base salary range for this position is from $91,333 to $136,968, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
