www.draper.com .Job Description Summary:The Senior Program Configuration Manager will apply their prior experience towards developing, documenting, and executing a new, modernized strategy for conducting formal Configuration/Change Management activities in a Model-Based Systems Engineering environment for a program concerned with redesigning and producing a significant Government guidance system asset. This person will research and recommend a suitable commercial CM/PLM software tool, leveraging to the extent necessary the features of Draper’s existing infrastructure consisting of Dassault Systèmes Enovia 3D Experience and various other business enterprise tools. Lastly, you will interface with internal staff from Design Engineering, Digital Engineering, Production, Mission Assurance, and Programs, as well as with customer staff and subcontractors in the planning and execution of the CM function.Duties/Responsibilities:Provide technical assistance and support to customers, suppliers, and employees in resolving issues.Lead and identify improvements of manufacturing, process, and product efficiency to reduce nonconforming products.Ensure products meet the organization's and customers' quality and product integrity requirements.Provide analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.Lead a cross-function team in the determination of root cause of failures. Identify when failure analysis is necessary, along with providing recommendations of the corrective measures.Analyze data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.Drive solutions to complex problems with limited direction.Actively mentor less experienced engineers.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills/Abilities:Ability to work on cross-functional teams.Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.Familiarity with Quality Standards ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100.Expert knowledge and skills in process integration.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to prioritize tasks.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good interpersonal skills to communicate clearly.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Education:Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline.Experience:Requires 5-7 years experience in quality engineering or other engineering roles.Additional Job Description:Strong familiarity with military/commercial CM and documentation-related specifications and standards (such as ANSI/EIA-649, ASME/Y14, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-STD-961, etc.) and the ability to properly interpret and apply them.Experience planning, documenting, and executing CM functions and processes as applied to documentation work products, electro-mechanical design work products, and software work products.Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering and Model-Based Design.Experience being audited for compliance to CM requirements.Ability to interact purposefully and resolutely with engineers, task leaders, technical directors, program managers, subcontractors, and customer representatives.Applicants selected for this position may be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.Job Location - City:
