We have the following job opportunity in our New York City office:

DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join and lead our Global IT Operations team. As a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, supporting and maintaining our cloud and on-premises infrastructure, with a focus on Azure, AWS, Citrix Cloud, VMware, Cisco HCI and Nutanix. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Leading a team of engineers to manage the day-to-day operations and project tasks within the Global IT Operations team.

Managing and supporting Cloud IaaS and PaaS services in Azure and AWS.

Managing and supporting virtualized environments including Citrix, VMware and Nutanix.

Assisting with integrating new cloud-based services into existing infrastructure.

Supporting and responding to technical escalations for wired and wireless service network issues.

Planning and executing system upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations while keeping data integrity intact.

Conducting patch management to deploy security patches in PCs and Servers as needed.

Monitoring infrastructure and services, proactively identifying and resolving performance issues, bottlenecks, and vulnerabilities.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure security measures, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.

Investigating and resolving complex technical issues related to HCI and cloud infrastructure services.

Utilizing IaC tools and configuration management tools such as Terraform or Ansible to automate the setup and management of cloud servers and applications.

Developing and maintaining scripts and automation workflows to streamline infrastructure operations and improve efficiency.

Conducting training sessions for end-users to enhance understanding and utilization of IT resources.

Requirements

10+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft systems admin, Citrix, VMware, and cloud technologies.

5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud networking (public, private and hybrid/multi cloud) and on-premises networking technologies.

Strong experience in leading IT teams, internal stakeholders and managing relationships with vendors/MSPs.

Strong experience in designing, deploying, & managing cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.

Proven experience with Azure PaaS and SaaS services such as AKS, Synapse Analytics, Power BI and Azure OpenAI.

Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and other O365 services.

Strong knowledge and experience supporting native applications, especially Kubernetes.

Strong knowledge of Cisco HCI (Hyperflex, UCS, HXDP).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.

Work ScheduleTransRe is supportive of an agile work schedule, which may differ based on individual roles, your local office’s practices and preferences marketplace trends, and TransRe’s business objectives. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office per week, and 2 days remote.

CompensationIn addition to base salary, for this position, TransRe offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity. The anticipated annual base salary range in New York for this position, exclusive of benefits, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity is $150,000 - $170,000. This range is an estimate and the actual base salary offered for this position will be determined based on certain factors, including the applicant’s specific skill set and level of experience.
