Role: Senior / Lead Hadoop Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Day 1 Onsite)
Basic Qualifications:8+ Years Proven Experience in technology incident and problem management role.4+ Years Proven Experience in using monitoring tools like Prometheus, Splunk, SiteScope & Thousand Eyes.6+ Years Proven experience in Unix Scripting.2+ Years Proven experience in Hadoop administration or in a similar role.
Responsibilities:In this role, you will:
Lead complex technology initiatives towards Hadoop platform stability and automation.
Manage platform incidents and problems as part of a 24/7 support team.
Assess the impact of platform issues and prioritize triage by partnering with stakeholders.
Facilitate and perform root cause analysis of platform incidents.
Communicate triaging progress to stakeholders and leadership.
Troubleshoot tenant-reported failures by analyzing client logs.
Use Autosys as a scheduler for routine activities.
Monitor Hadoop cluster health and performance.
Automate monitoring opportunities using available tools.
Tune and configure Hadoop ecosystem components.
Ensure data backup and recovery strategies are in place.
Plan and execute upgrades of Hadoop components.
Maintain documentation of Hadoop cluster configurations and procedures.
Collaborate with technical experts and teams to resolve issues.
Preferred Qualifications:Strong knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, HBase, Spark, Hue).Proven experience using Autosys or similar job scheduler.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
