ADMINISTRATOR FOR UNDERGRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATIONFull time: 37.5 hours per week (1 year Fixed Term)(part time hours will be considered)Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pmSalary: Band 3An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Undergraduate Medical Education team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work as an Undergraduate Administrator within the Undergraduate Medical Education Department at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. This position will be based at Pilgrim Hospital Boston and the successful candidate will work Trustwide to support the delivery of Undergraduate Medical Education on all hospital sites.This post has been established to expand the Undergraduate Medical Education Team on the Boston site. There are currently three Undergraduate Administrators who assist the Undergraduate Co-ordinator in the efficient running of the department which co-ordinates the provision of teaching modules for medical students from the Universities of Nottingham and Lincoln.Main duties of the job

This post would suit a highly motivated and organised individual with good attention to detail. The primary function of this post is to support undergraduate medical education by managing undergraduate modules delivered within the Trust. You will be required to plan and produce timetables and placement plans liaising with medical staff and other allied health professionals.The successful candidate will have the ability to work under pressure whilst prioritising their work load on a daily basis. They will also be responsible for setting up teaching rooms for lectures, training sessions, exams etc. so the ability to move and handle furniture is essential. Familiarity with setting up display IT equipment would be useful as this is often used for teaching. Certain teaching sessions will require the candidate to become familiar with the use of clinical skills equipment as this will require setting up for some sessions. They will also be responsible for liaising with volunteer patients who support teaching and for assisting with the running of exam skills workshops.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to support the service. The successful candidate must be a team player and be willing to undertake other general administrative duties within the education centre as required.Person specification

RSA III or equivalent word-processing experienceGCSE, level C or above, in English or equivalentKnowledge of undergraduate medical education issuesAwareness of national agenda in relation to medical education and trainingNVQ Level 3 Administration or equivalent experiencePrevious Experience
