The Growth team is a critical driver for Amazon Music’s rise in the digital streaming space. Our team focuses on building and improving products and features that reveal the best of Amazon Music to customers globally. We are fast and nimble, scaling after we have proved merit. We experiment with hypotheses through A/B tests and build personalized features that provide a more streamlined experience for Amazon customers. We develop products throughout the customer lifecycle including customer acquisition, on-boarding, engagement and retention. As a Technical Program Manager at Amazon Music, you will have the opportunity to work closely with product, design, software development and platform teams to implement strategy and execution. You will collaborate with the product teams to deliver the best solutions with efficient use of resources and technologies. You will make strong business cases for project prioritization and investment. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and inspire risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit. Key Responsibilities
Delivering highly calibrated technical writing and documentation to a wide audience.Managing complex growth experiments and inter/intra Music product programs from start to finish.Independently leading cross-functional projects with disparate stakeholders, effectively balancing priorities and making smart trade-offs.Delivering strategy and business review communications at the executive level and guiding discussion around them.Evaluating potential risks and how to address them; be able to deliver high priority projects.Prioritizing mitigation efforts using risk management concepts.
A day in the life
This high visibility role will require L8+ communication and influencing while working with stakeholders across multiple organizations. You will regularly deep dive issues to determine the root cause and partner with stakeholders for resolution, including the right stakeholders as needed. This role has regular interaction with various business units across Amazon Music and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will manage end-to-end projects, often managing multiple projects/programs at once, while demonstrating high judgement, clear communication, creative approaches, the ability to think big, and a consistent track record of delivering results.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of technical product or program management experience.2+ years of software development experience.3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design.Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules.Posted:
