We are seeking an experienced Senior Incident Response Analyst to join our Cyber Security Incident Response Team, leading complex investigations and responding to sophisticated cyber threats. This individual will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and containing security incidents while ensuring a swift and effective response. This role will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, leading efforts across teams to ensure comprehensive threat containment and recovery. With deep technical expertise in forensic analysis, malware analysis, and intrusion detection, the Senior Analyst serves as a mentor to junior staff, guiding the development of their skills and ensuring alignment with best practices.The role includes on-call responsibilities outside business hours and weekends, daily reporting, and ticket administration. This candidate is self-motivated and responsible, with the ability to prioritize under heavy workloads and operate under time constraints. Building upon and improving established procedures and detailed documentation of incidents is essential. If you are passionate about cybersecurity and have a proven track record of responding to security threats, we encourage you to apply and become an integral part of our team.This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Incident Response.ResponsibilityLead and conduct advanced investigations into security incidents, identifying the root cause and recommending remediation efforts to prevent future occurrencesPerform proactive threat hunting using various security tools and platforms to identify vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, and potential security gapsAnalyze malware and reverse-engineer attacks to understand the full extent of an incident, including identifying compromised systems and dataCreate and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures, continuously optimizing them for evolving threatsAct as the technical lead during major incidents, coordinating across teams such as Security Operations, Engineering, Legal, and external stakeholders when neededLeverage internal and external threat intelligence sources to identify and mitigate threats before they materializeWork with security tools (SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence platforms) to fine-tune alerts, reduce false positives, and improve detection capabilitiesConduct post-incident analysis and reporting, documenting lessons learned, and suggesting areas for improvementWhat you bring
Basic8+ years of experience in incident response, security operations, or a related role with a strong focus on incident detection, analysis, and mitigationExperience in analyzing and investigating security incidents (e.g., malware infections, phishing, insider threats, and data exfiltration)Experience with common security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence platformsExperience with network and host forensics, log analysis, and malware analysisPreferredStrong knowledge of security frameworks such as MITRE ATTCK and NISTExperience with scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.)Certifications: GCIH, GCFA, GREM or similarFamiliarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security principlesAbility to lead incident response efforts and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying risks and developing solutionsAbility to thrive in high-pressure situations and handle critical incidents effectivelyWage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $134,900.00 - $216,975.00 base salaryWashington and New York (including NYC metro area): $129,000.00 - $190,550.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for bonus, equity and
