Applicants must be actively enrolled in a degree program and be available for the entire duration of the co-op. Start date will be January 21, 2025.In this role, you will be a key contributor to the Applied Technologies team, focusing on the integration and application of novel technologies that enhance our development and commercial processes. This opportunity is designed to provide hands-on experience for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, offering the opportunity to work on innovative projects that align with Moderna's mission to deliver transformative medicines.Here’s What You’ll DoCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to design, develop, and implement technology solutions across various stages of drug development and manufacturing.Assist in the design and testing of automated systems and technologies, ensuring they meet the operational and quality standards required for clinical and commercial production.Support the development of process automation strategies and contribute to the creation of documentation and training materials.Participate in the analysis and troubleshooting of existing systems, providing input on potential improvements and optimizations.Engage in continuous learning through team meetings, training sessions, and project collaboration to stay updated on the latest advancements in applied technologies.Contribute to the advancement of technology integration processes that drive efficiency and innovation in Moderna’s production pipeline.Additional duties as may be assigned, with a focus on expanding your knowledge and skills in applied technologies.Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical), Computer Science, or a related field.Strong interest in applied technologies, automation, and systems integration.Basic knowledge of engineering principles and an eagerness to apply them in real-world scenarios.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.A proactive approach to learning and applying new skills.Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)GPA of 3.5 on a 4 scale or equivalent.Previous internship/Co-op or project experience related to automation, robotics, or technology development.Familiarity with programming languages or software used in automation and systems engineering.Experience with CAD software or other design tools.An enthusiasm for working on innovative projects that push the boundaries of current technology.A collaborative mindset and a desire to be part of a high-growth, transformational company that is Bold, Relentless, Curious, and Collaborative.About ModernaSince our founding in 2010, we have aspired to build the leading mRNA technology platform and the infrastructure to reimagine how medicines are created and delivered.
