Position Overview
The US Govt- Account Executive is responsible for the identification, pursuit and securement of business within targeted offices of the DoD and DHS to include, but not limited to, OUSD, NAVSEA US NAVY, USMC, USA, SOCOM (PEO Maritime/ NSWC/ etc.), USCG, and other federal agencies. The individual executes the business capture strategy for Sea Machines, and pursues programs to win Sea Machines Maritime autonomy and sensor contracts, sold as a conversion kit, turnkey vessel, or served as a service. The individual also looks for teaming opportunities with industry to win government contracts. The individual will work closely with the Sea Machines Field Engineering and Mission Success teams to ensure a tier one customer experience is delivered.
The position is remotely based and reports directly to the Director of Federal Business Captures, with 50% domestic travel expectations.
Primary Objectives and Traits
Strong understanding of government contracting, from prototype to program of record.Shape and create new opportunities by following activity amongst the marine defense industry.Monitor and respond to opportunities available for tender.Create comprehensive RFI’s and RFP’s, deliver on quarterly and annual sales objectives.Able to lead and participate in external teaming efforts with other companies to make the winning solution.Diligently and swiftly respond to qualified contacts from web registrations, promotions, events and other marketing and sales activities.Attend industry trade shows to create future business opportunities.Organize the preparation of compelling presentations and deliver with excellence.Track, maintain & cleanse the digital database, and enter sales and new business data in CRM.Research and contribute to fresh ideas for the content marketing team.Required Skills and Qualifications
5 years minimum, working in a sales/capture role with Government customers.Expert knowledge of marine vessels, navigation equipment and vessel systems is a requirement.The ideal candidate has leadership experience working with major military programs.Experience with marine industry software, USV offerings, or Captain’s Credentials are all favorable.Travel expectations, up to 50%.Tier one writing and presentation skills, and able to maximize use of MS Office capabilities.Active Secret Clearance is a plus.Multi-Lingual is a plus.
