Director of Process Improvement
Basic purpose of position:
Responsible for executing operational excellence and process improvement initiatives on a day-to-day basis, which includes creating future-state processes and metrics based observations to improve operational performance in quality, cost, delivery and risk mitigation. The position facilitates and promotes the understanding and implementation of operational excellence principles and techniques. The role conducts data analyses, including gathering data, analyses and generating insights.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for taking a holistic approach to identifying business improvement opportunities developing solutions, managing initiatives, and identifying the resources and various disciplines needed to execute the process.
Perform assessments utilizing analytical skills to understand client environments and associated financial opportunities.
Application of process analysis methods to identify operational excellence opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce risk prior to automation design.
Support detailed requirements gathering, design and development of automations using various tools.
Lead process improvement initiatives (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Events, DMAIC/DMADV Projects, 5S/Visual Workplace Program, etc.) using Lean and/or Six Sigma tools. Conduct data analysis using Lean, Six Sigma, and other analytical tools to identify process improvement opportunities. Identify and develop metrics for sustaining improvement initiatives and measuring business results. Work with leadership to maintain and share best practices as needed.
Perform investigatory shadows, process analysis and present recommendations.
Perform process mapping and time study observations.
Clearly document solution design, job aids and enhancements.
Manage multiple process improvement projects at one time. Ensure solutions are consistent with organizational objectives. Build relationships with all key constituents necessary to deliver project results.
Write requirements and use cases/user stories.
Build and maintain relationships with Operations, Information Technology, Finance & Accounting and other teams to support automation development activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration and Management, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Production, Operations, Leadership, Project Management, or related field.

Experience Requirements:
Must have 3 or more years' experience in the area of process improvement or a related field.
Skills, Licenses, Certification, and/or Special Training:
Must maintain a valid state driver's license if required to operate company equipment.
Meet and maintain all requirements contained in the Conditions of Employment policy.
Physical, Mental & Sensory Requirements:
Must be able to hear work or safety instructions verbally communicated in a normal speaking voice.
Must be able to work independently.
Ability to communicate telephonically for periods of greater than 4 hours.
Ability to frequently view and change data on a standard computer.
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks.
Able to sit for long periods of time up to 6 hours.
