Responsibilities
The role you’re interested in…The Consumer Insights Manager is responsible for executing and managing marketing research across Premier Nutrition brands using creativity and a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative methodologies. This role will expand and reinforce PNC’s dedication to understand and serve our consumers. This role in our data-driven, high-growth culture is an internal expert in designing, conducting, analyzing, and synthesizing consumer research. Because people are at the center of everything we do, the Consumer Insights Manager will assist with primary and custom research and will also work with outside research agencies to ensure the best methodologies and techniques are applied to each challenge. Role is closely integrated with the Brand Management and Growth (Innovation) teams and reports to the Director of Research and Insights.The work environment…We are a dynamic, HYBRID workplace so every employee who lives within 100 miles of our offices is expected to come in each TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY. The expected pay scale for this role is $120k to $130k, which may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic area (if applicable), and internal equity for the role.You’re excited about this opportunity because your time will be filled with…Conducting, analyzing, and archiving marketing research: 85% of TimeDevelop category-level knowledge through existing resources (Nielsen, Mintel, etc.) for leverage in creating competitive advantage for our brands.Translate business questions into best-in-class research plans.Design, execute, analyze insights through custom qualitative or quantitative research (created internally or with vendors) as needed.Synthesize and present findings to internal (and potentially external) audiences with actionable recommendations.Serve as a syndicated and custom research expert to help guide and train marketers in analytics.Maintain searchable library to democratize historical and ongoing catalog of insights, reports, etc.Working with research partners and suppliers: 15% of TimeAssist in exploring and identifying potential new vendors or methodologies to continually improve our insights practice.Optimize the value of our research investments through effective tool utilization and providing thought leadership.
Qualifications
What are we looking for?Education:BA/BS degree in Statistics, Psychology, Economics, Marketing, or a research-related field.Experience:5+ years of relevant research experience, ideally as a custom research supplier or client-side in Consumer Package Goods (CPG).Working knowledge of quantitative research methods including surveys, analytics (conjoint/discrete choice, regression), product and advertising testing, etc.Experience using syndicated CPG data (Nielsen/IRI/Numerator) for business analysis and effective storytelling.Skills and mindset:Proven ability to translate questions from business into creative research solutions.Intuitive and effective collaborator.Experience with self-service research platforms and data analysis software.Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills are required, including the ability to make presentations to senior and executive management.Ability to travel within the United States.
