As a Real Estate Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting attorneys with the preparation and execution of real estate transactions, from initial contracts to post-closing. You will ensure that all legal documents and processes are handled with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing real estate transaction documents, purchase and sale agreements, closing disclosures, and title documents.Coordinate and manage the closing process, including preparing settlement statements, ensuring all necessary documents are executed, and coordinating with lenders, buyers, and sellers.Conduct title searches and review title commitments, resolving any issues or discrepancies.Prepare closing checklists, monitor deadlines, and track important dates related to real estate transactions.File and organize legal documents in both physical and digital formats.Collaborate with lenders, brokers, and other parties involved in real estate transactions to ensure smooth and timely closings.Maintain and update client files, ensuring all documents are accurate and complete.Support attorneys with due diligence, including reviewing surveys, zoning documents, and environmental reports.Assist with post-closing tasks, including filing deeds and mortgages, distributing funds, and closing binders.Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a real estate paralegal, preferably in both residential and commercial transactions.Familiarity with title insurance, real estate financing, and settlement procedures.Strong understanding of real estate law and legal procedures.Proficiency in legal research and case management software (e.g., PACER, CCAP).Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Paralegal certificate or equivalent education required.Notary Public certification is a plus.Benefits
