Probate & Trust Administration Attorney

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Probate Trust Administration Attorney to join our distinguished estate planning law firm on a part-time basis. This role encompasses both probate and trust administration responsibilities as well as potential litigation involvement. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating the complexities of estate administration, providing expert legal advice, and representing clients in both transactional and contentious matters.ResponsibilitiesMaintain a large caseload and manage cases from inception through closingAssist clients in the administration of trusts, ensuring proper distribution of assets to beneficiariesIndependently handle day-to-day decision-making on assigned casesNegotiate and draft settlement agreements when applicableDevelop case strategy and provide leadership and direction to Paralegals and Legal Assistants regarding caseworkRegularly consult with clients and third parties to effectively move cases forward and to a successful conclusionPerform monthly case reviews to ensure clients receive proactive communicationEnter client notes and billable time into the Case Management SystemConduct intense point-related research and analyze case-specific legal issues to prepare documentationAttend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences to advocate for clients’ interestsWork collaboratively with the team, including staff members at all levels of experience and knowledgeCultivate relationships with the Firm’s clientsAdhere to the Firm’s policies and proceduresQualifications

Graduate from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law for the state(s) in which workingBe in good standing with the California Bar AssociationLitigation experience in probate and trust administrationCompensation
